Monday Commentary - What does Culture mean to You?

My FIL started our brand new SUMMER series entitled Heaven's Culture yesterday in church.  I seriously could not imagine being anywhere else!!!  I love his passion and zeal for the WHOLE House and also for what God is doing in OUR House here at Life Church.  To sum up the entire message in one sentence this is what I would say:

YOU MISSED OUT!
(and I of course would say that with the utmost respect and then give you the link to watch it...ha)

Did you realize that we all have the CHOICE to create the culture we live in?  Like I spoke about last week....we have a choice to partner WITH God and build our culture based on His design or we can allow life to happen and our culture just becomes that of default.  I definitely DO NOT want the latter!

Our culture (what we do, what we think, how we act) CREATES the environment that we live in.

This is applicable in EVERY area of our life....marriage, parenting, work, church, etc.  I want to purpose to always be creating a DESIGN oriented culture that is in alignment with God and His word.  This doesn't just happen though...we have to be willing to change and grow!!

I'm beyond grateful to be a part of a life giving local church that is ON MISSION for what God is doing and is willing to do whatever it takes to see Heaven's culture realized here on the Earth - in this hour and time that we live in!  Big things are ahead for Life Church - the best is yet to come!!!
