This would be my glorious crochet bag...I love this hodge podge, mess of a bag! About 3 years ago, I decided I wanted to learn how to crochet {I basically needed something to do when I was sitting at home in the bitter cold with a new born baby...I mean what else is there to do right??} And so thanks to YouTube, I did just that...and you know, it started out great...I was determined...I was energetic....I was ready to take on ALL that crochet had for me...LOL. Well, you see this poor
*****DISCLAIMER*****
These would not be the amazingly adorable crochet ideas from pinterest {in my dreams maybe}...what we're dealing with here is a simple, beginner crochet mom that wants to make some cute dishcloths and scarves for her said newborn.
After pulling this bag full of unfinished, partial projects out of the closet last week, I was QUICKLY and I mean quickly reminded of some partial, unfinished areas in my life that I have left undone or better yet, half done....CAN I GET A WITNESS PLEASE??? I'm talking about the bad attitudes, the bitterness, the CONTROL, the negative thinking, {insert your area here} - the areas that we have started to acknowledge and work on, but when they require more work than we bargained for we duck out and opt for what is easy and comfortable....hmmmm
I'm so thankful for God's grace and mercy that is BRAND NEW every morning....even when I miss it, He is ALWAYS right here for me ready to help me grow! I'm also thankful for His passionate pursuit of us and how He loves us so much that He doesn't want us to stay the same. He wants us to grow and mature in our walk with Him, and unfortunately that REQUIRES WORK on our part. I'm learning something so special though....when I partner with Him and do what is Right according to His word...there is a freedom I experience like no other.
It's all about the PROCESS isn't it?
I'd love to hear from you...is there an area that you have purposely left undone? If so, what's a small step that you can take today to work towards overcoming it?
Xx Britt
