This week we continued on with week 2 of our Heaven's Culture summer series! It was such a great morning in church as we honored our Dad's and debuted our Life Church version of "A Dad's Life"..it is a MUST WATCH video...you can check it out here...
My FIL spoke this week on our PASSIONATE SPIRITUALITY...and how Heaven's Culture is FILLED with passionate spiritual aspects....and for those of you getting spooked out by the word spiritual...
SPIRITUAL IS NOT:
-religious
-stone-faced
-holier than thou
-boring and no fun
SPIRITUALITY is NONE OF THE ABOVE!!! It is simply being passionate about Jesus and our relationship with Him.
I loved my FIL first point...Our passion for HIM and HIS thinking, attitudes, and behaviors will create a solid foundation and will be a catalyst for our culture. When we begin to lack in our passion and zeal for Him that is when we become subject to the "DEFAULT" mode rather than the "DESIGN" mode that we have been referring to over the past couple of weeks.
