Yesterday in church we were asked a question...."Are you building your future by design...or is your future being established by default?" I don't know about you, but the word default just doesn't sound very appealing....and I'm certain I want a future that is DESIGNED by God!
My FIL shared this message on "Building Your Future." There was so much to be taken away from the message and I will most certainly watch and listen to it again. I was so challenged by the message and one part in particular really stuck out to me and it was this...
Although God is the architect and has our lives all mapped out, we have the PRIVILEGE of partnering with Him to accomplish the work that He wants to do in and through us here on Earth. And we must be willing to accept responsibility for our actions and steward and tend every area of our life. WE MUST DO OUR PART!!! Just like in 1 Corinthians 3:9 where it talks about us being co-laborers together WITH and FOR God.
I'm determined and committed to evaluating the areas of my life that have become stagnant because I've simply become lazy and failed to do MY part....I trust you will be challenged to do the same...I mean what if we all took a look at the areas of our life that we have failed to accept responsibility and stepped up to the plate and started working WITH God ....how much more could we accomplish for HIS KINGDOM???
