Liberal, more than enough, big-hearted, GIVING, open handed, unselfish, willing....
these are just some of the qualities I want to be known for....they are qualities of a PASSIONATE, GENEROUS GIVER!!! My father-in-law spoke straight from the heart yesterday and taught a message that challenged me to my core! He taught us that passionate givers are generous givers. The ENTIRE message was spot on, but one of the first statements that he made really SUNK in...(if you know what I mean?) He said, "the fear of not getting more keeps us from being generous." Especially in this day and age when we seem to just want more and more and more! I am so quick to want "more" and that just derives from a selfish act...I AM NOT GOING TO BE KNOWN FOR THAT!!!! I want to be willing and ready to give it ALL just like the woman in Mark 12:41-44 that gave what the bible says "EXTRAVAGANTLY" because she gave EVERYTHING she had!!! You must listen/watch this message from yesterday. We are living in a broken, underprivileged day and time which means there are MANY opportunities to GIVE and BLESS others!!! I'll leave you with one final thought from yesterday's message....God did not choose giving because He needs our money....He chose giving because He wanted to keep greed and selfishness OUT!
