Be Who You Be - Reflections

Well good afternoon!  .....HA!  We are just a little late today....Did you all have a happy FOURTH of July??  We definitely did!

Did you have a chance to listen to Kim's main man, Josh, speak on James 1??  I really enjoyed listening to him, although it made me MISS them like crazy!!!  If you didn't get a chance to listen to it you can watch and listen to it HERE and you can head over to Kim's "reflections" at mauneyland.blogspot.com!!

Josh taught out of James 1 (totally  my favorite book of the bible = BY FAR) and there was a phrase that he spoke throughout his message that really settled into my spirit leading me into today's reflection..."Information without application will never lead to transformation"  Did you catch that when you were listening to it?

In our society today we can get so caught up in learning more and more and have less and less application to our lives.  Steven Furtick - lead pastor at Elevation Church tweeted a few months ago, "Sometimes spiritual growth is less about what you need to learn and more about what you need to remember"  I cannot agree more with this and it flows right into what Josh shared as well.  We must remember and apply what we learn to our life so God can continue working through us...remember HE NEEDS US TO DO OUR PART!!!  He is a gentleman and will not force us into "DOING" what needs to be done...that is where our growth comes from! US DOING OUR PART and allowing Him to work through us!

You might be asking yourself.....so what's up with your title....."be who you be??"  My hubby has said this a few times recently and I just love what it means....be who you be is just that....start applying what we are learning from God's word and LIVE IT OUT!!!!!  Stop worrying about what everyone else is doing (speaking to me) and DO and BE who God has made me to BE!!!  God wants us to follow through with what He has started in our lives and the entire book of James instructs us to ACT on that!!

I have been challenged to my core recently to really evaluate how good I am doing with "living it out" so I pose the question....how are you doing???  I'd like for us to focus on this for next week.  And share along the lines for some accountability what is working and what may not be working right now.  And I'd like for the MAIN IDEA to be that of "cooperation and discipline"...what do you think??

Have a great week!  We will see you next week =)  Xx
