Monday Commentary

It's Monday again, isn't it?  I cannot believe how fast the time truly flies by...but I'm sure thankful for a the MOMENTS that make up that time and even more grateful for CHURCH ON SUNDAY'S!!! Yesterday was a "pack the punch" Sunday...We continued with part 3 of our "In God We Trust" series and I can't say enough how impacted and challenged I have been by this series.

One of the parts that stuck out to me was when my FIL said that: 

"Trusting God is being confident with the outcome rather than not being delivered from the process"

We can quickly assume that trusting God and obedience to that trust will lead us down this easy breezy path with no hard times and then we we come upon tough times we lose our trust in God because it's not how we thought it should/would be....

We must learn to be confident in the faithful, worthy, loyal, gracious, encouraging Father and TRUST that when we are obedient to Him we don't always have to know the answers!!!  

There is so much to learn from the story of Abraham and Isaac, but I love how my FIL pointed out that in Genesis 22: 4-5 Abraham tells his servants that "WE will come back" - Abraham had NO idea how God was going to provide a sacrifice other than His son, but HE TRUSTED that He would and spoke in CONFIDENCE that "we (meaning him and Isaac) will be back)"  

I think we could all be challenged to start speaking with more confidence and TRUSTING in the OUTCOME...AMEN??
