Reflections - DO IT AFRAID!

"Do it AFRAID" - this is a common phrase you have probably heard from one of my favorite speakers of the word - JOYCE MEYER!  When Kim picked this verse in Joshua 1:9 that phrase immediately came to my mind. I love how God works too, because when Kim shared with me that is what our next "assignment" was going to be, the Lord had already been speaking to me about not giving place to our fear!

As some of you might know, we are in the process of transitioning to Denver, Colorado.  We are going to officially be out there sometime in May.  We are so excited to move for a number of reasons, but the main reason is that we just simply KNOW IT IS GOD!!!  That is hard to argue!  Although we are all excited, (aside from our oldest son, Max, having slight depression because Morrison finally got a McDonald's and we are moving) we know taking steps toward what God has for us can be somewhat scary and intimidating.  If I was completely honest with myself - I'M SCARED!!!!! (in a good way if that is possible for anyone to understand...I do so I guess that is all that matters...ha!)

Life as we know it, in Morrison, is what most would call comfortable.  Well, let me just say God doesn't often leave us in that comfort zone!  He desires for us to live a bit (sometimes a LOT) UNCOMFORTABLE so we have to lean into Him and like I said before - 'do it afraid'. When we are walking outside of our comfort zone, God receives all the glory and works through us in ways that only He can!

I don't want to give into the fear of wondering all the "what if's"(and trust me I have tried to go that direction) I want to take ACTION in spite of the fear!  I am determined to press forward with BOLDNESS so that I can begin to realize what His plans are for me and for my family as we journey to Colorado.

The amazing thing about Joshua 1:9 is that the verse ends with telling us that "God is with us wherever we go" - THAT IS UHMAZING!!!!!!!!!  It means that I don't have to worry because He is with me, and His word also tells me that He has gone before me....so basically I'm ALL SET!!!!! No need to give place to the fear....I'm excited about this promise because He is faithful and I know His plans are the best, so as I lean into Him and keep my eyes FIXED on Him I know the BEST is YET TO COME!!!!

Don't forget to read my friend Kim's blog HERE , you can also add your blog with the link below.  Our vision is that you would be able to link your thoughts to ours and we can all reflect TOGETHER - we would LOVE TO HEAR FROM  YOU!!!

With Easter approaching (which, BY FAR, is my most favorite holiday EVER) I thought it would be very special to reflect back on our journey with Jesus...and share a "blurb" - maybe it's your testimony or it could also be what God is doing in your life right now...there is true power in reflecting back on where we were WITHOUT Jesus and what He has done in each of our lives since then!  I can't wait to HEAR FROM YOU
