Yesterday was simply one of those Sundays, where you walk away from it and are sad that it is over! We had an incredible morning in church despite the different direction we went. Jon (my main man) was lined up to teach and had spent hours on a message that has honestly been stirring us both up (he will share it soon), but on Friday morning he felt that he needed to pull back as God had different plans! So my FIL (father-in-law) shared such a timely message to our church that was entitled TEAM CHURCH! And not Team Life Church.....but TEAM CHURCH! God's plan for reaching the world is THE CHURCH...THE CHURCH is the hope of the world...It's not a building, but rather a PEOPLE that are willing to accept the challenge and team together to fulfill the purpose and responsibility to carry out the mission of Jesus. The message is power packed with some incredible TRUTH and challenge to RISE UP and BE THE CHURCH! And we can't do it alone - we are a TEAM! I love how my FIL used the acronym for TEAM and highlighted what TEAM CHURCH looks like....
T - a tenacious church - A PEOPLE WHO NEVER QUIT
E - an enlarging church - MOVING PAST OUR SELF AND DOING WHAT'S BEST FOR THE TEAM
A - an adaptable church - CHANGE A CONSTANT COMPANION OF PROGRESS
M - a mission conscious church - ACTION - BE THE CHURCH
