Monday Commentary

Hey eVeRyOnE!!!!!!!!!!!  I'm so so so so so happy to be back in blog land!!!!  I've decided to start very slow (as if I even know what that means...ha!) and look so forward to spending time together again!  I've missed writing and sharing, but as we all do, a LOT OF LIFE has happened since JULY!!!!  I'm sure there will be more to come on all that God has done in our lives, but that we will save that for another time and post and possibly POSTS...LOL :)

I'd like to start back up with a new segment on the blog entitled "MONDAY COMMENTARY" I received the idea from Holly Furtick over at www.hollyfurtick.com.  She is a pastor's wife and I really enjoy reading and following her blog.  I'll simply be sharing a brief commentary of what I receive from the message each week with the intention that you will be inspired and challenged as well.  I will also post a link to the video so you may watch it and of course feel free to share your thoughts too in the comments below =)  It will be a FANTASTIC TIME TOGETHER!!!

I'm beyond excited to share the first ever commentary from my HUBBY!!!! This was not a planned teaching Sunday for him, due to some unforeseen circumstances he was asked to fill in and absolutely HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK!!!!  Our Pastor (my amazing father-in-law) started a brand new series last week entitled "LIVE PASSIONATELY" listen to it HERE and I promise you won't be disappointed!

Jon continued on this week  about staying passionate and that often times after hearing such a challenging and inspiring message we can walk out of church and into the REAL WORLD and get a major smack in the face...how many can relate that when life hits it often hits HARD???  He went on to share with us that in order to stay passionate we have to overcome 5 "passion blockers" in our life...and those passion blockers just happen to be our 5 senses...what we smell, what we feel, what we see, what we hear, and what we taste.  Just to give you a glimpse into the word he shared,  ONE of the many things that stuck out most was that in order to conquer the sense of what we see when we are going through battles is to LOOK UP UNTO THE HILLS WHERE OUR HELP COMES FROM!!! Instead of looking down through ground level LOOK UP through the eyes of Faith!!!  Not to focus on our problem, but on the PROMISE from our amazing Father!  What an encouragement and reminder of how quickly we can narrow our focus and how quickly we can change that vantage point, by simply trusting God and relying on Him - because HE IS WELL ABLE - and is NOT surprised by what we are currently facing!

I'd encourage you to CHECK OUT THE MESSAGE HERE and share your thoughts below if you wish!

Have an amazing week!!!
Brittany Xx
